TOURNAMENT RULES
-
DUPR account is required. Both partners must have an active DUPR account before tournament day. All eligible tournament results will be submitted to DUPR.
-
Skill level is determined by the higher-rated partner. For example, if Player A is 3.42 and Player B is 3.67, the team must enter 3.5 or higher.
-
Playing UP is allowed. Playing DOWN is not allowed. Tournament Directors reserve the right to move a team if its registered division does not reasonably match the players’ ratings/competitive history.
-
40+ Division: Both partners must meet the 40+ age requirement. Open Age is available regardless of age.
-
Round Robin format. Teams play the other teams within their division. Final scoring format and any playoff/medal procedure will be announced before tournament day.
-
Medals: Gold, Silver and Bronze will be awarded in eligible divisions.
-
One partner registers the team. The registration must include complete information for both players.
-
Registration fee: $55 per player/per regular event. Registration is not considered complete until payment for both partners is received.
-
Partner substitutions must be approved by the Tournament Director. The replacement player must remain eligible for the registered division.
-
Wolf & Bear waiver required. Every participant must individually complete the Wolf & Bear Waiver and Release of Liability through Playbypoint before playing.
-
Check-in is required. Players should arrive early enough to check in and warm up. Teams that are not present when called may be subject to a forfeit after the tournament staff’s designated grace period.
-
Sportsmanship is required. Players are expected to make fair calls, respect opponents and tournament staff, and maintain appropriate conduct. Tournament Director decisions regarding tournament operations and disputes are final.
-
No refunds for player withdrawals. Registration fees are non-refundable for voluntary withdrawals, schedule conflicts, partner withdrawals, injuries/illness, no-shows, or registration in an incorrect division.
-
Event cancellation: If the entire tournament is canceled by the organizer and is not rescheduled, registered players will receive a full refund. If the event is rescheduled, participants will be notified of their options.
-
Tournament Director discretion: Divisions, court assignments, start times, match format, and schedules may be adjusted when necessary due to registration numbers, time constraints, safety, or unforeseen circumstances.
